Organic popularity continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Organic foods follow the healthy lifestyle trend that America is embracing. The U.S. Census Bureau says that the largest generation in the U.S. are Millennials. Recorded at 75 million people and ranging from the age of 19-35, Millennials regard organic as a healthy alternative for themselves and the members of their family, as well as an eco-friendly food source. Other generations are also catching on, yet not at quite a rapid rate. Millennials tend to be more educated about the benefits of eating organic, and tend to agree to pay higher premiums to get a healthier quality of food. Organic food sales total $39.7 billion, increasing 11% over the previous year. With continuing records in organic sales, it’s safe to say that the organic market will continue to prosper.
